United Way of Junction City/Geary County is proud to partner with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library through a grant made possible by the Kansas Masonic Literacy Center.
What is it?
Each month, a new, carefully selected book will be mailed to a child directly to their home. Children birth to age 5, are eligible toreceive a free book, each month, regardless of the parents' economic position.
How can I get involved?
If you would like to sponsor a child, simply click HERE to make a donation to United Way of Junction City/Geary County and let us know that it is for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. You can also send in your donation to UNITED WAY OF JUNCTION CITY/GEARY COUNTY, PO BOX 567, JUNCTION CITY KS 66441. That's it! $25 will cover the cost for 1 year. $25 and a child receives a book every month, which equals out to be $2.08 a book.
Who Is Eligible?
Children under the age of 5, who reside in Geary County, Chapman, or Enterprise.
What Are My Responsibilities
1. Be a resident of Geary County, Chapman, or Enterprise.
2. Submit an official registration form, completely filled out by the authorized adult, or complete your online registration HERE.
3. Notify UNITED WAY OF JUNCTION CITY/GEARY COUNTY any time your address changes. Books mailed to the address listed on teh account. NOTE: If the child's address changes, YOU MUST CONTACT YOUR FRIENDS AT THE UNITED WAY OF JUNCTION CITY/GEARY COUNTY in order to continue receiving books.
4. Read with your child and have fun!
When Will I Receive Books?
Eight to ten weeks after your registration form has been received, books will begin arriving at your home and will continue until your child turns five or you move out of the covered area.
