Girl Scouts of NE Kansas & NW Missouri is a chartered council of Girl Scouts of the USA, offering leadership development opportunities for girls grades K-12. With 110 years of experience and a focus on the research-backed Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE), the organization provides a safe, single-gender space for girls to develop courage, confidence, and character. With support from 6,000 adult volunteers, 14,722 girl members in the 47-county jurisdiction surrounding the Greater Kansas City, Topeka, and St. Joseph areas engage in hands-on learning across four pillars: STEM, Entrepreneurship/Financial Literacy, Civic Engagement/Life Skills, and Outdoor Experiences.

The GSLE helps girls discover their skills, connect with others, and take action for the greater good. Girls can earn badges, sell cookies, engage in community service, and pursue travel, preparing them for successful leadership and careers. Our single-gender commitment allows girls a safe space to step out of their comfort zone, take risks, and learn new skills free of feeling personal failure or lack of competence. This K-12 progressively girl-led, collaborative, and experiential learning develops courage, confidence, and character, all necessary attributes to successful leadership and the ability to change the world.
