Cray Named United Way Director for Junction City-Geary County

Ailleen Cray is the new executive director of the United Way of Junction City-Geary County, according to an announcement made Friday by board president Ben Kitchens.

Cray will officially state her position Jan. 2 with United Way. Currently she is employed by the Kansas Department of Commerce in Junction City as a workforce development coordinator. In this capacity, she has conducted job fairs and recruitment efforts aimed at encouraging people to come live and work in the Junction City area.

She brings 15 years of United Way experience to her new position, having served 4 ½ years as executive director the United Way of Finney County and 10 1/2 years as executive director for United Way of Riley County.

Cray also has 10 years of leadership training. Currently she serves as the executive director of the Flint Hills Regional Leadership program coordinating and instruction this tri-county adult leaders opportunity.

An area resident the past 15 years, Cray has developed a good working relationships in the Junction City community and looks forward to this opportunity to build even stronger and deeper relationships.
