The American Red Cross

Disaster Response: Disaster response is one of the primary functions of the Red Cross. Assistance is given to all victims of disaster, both natural and manmade, with complete impartiality and neutrality. This assistance includes: shelter, food, clothing, medical and metal health care. Help is also provided to give victims access to various community resources such as: employment, education, housing, child care, etc. To make this assistance always available, the Red Cross trains volunteers throughout the year at monthly meetings and special training events.
